What We Believe

1. The Holy Scriptures: We believe the word of God is the only guide to happiness in this life and for the Life to come, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction and instruction in righteousness. (2 Timothy 3:16,17) We also believe that all scripture is Divinely inspired of God, that it was an inbreathing of God through those who wrote it to us. Men wrote not of their own will, but as they were moved upon by the Spirit of God. (2 Peter 1:21)

2. The Trinity: We believe that there are three persons in the Godhead; the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost and these three are all in unity, in purpose, and in love. They cannot be separated in worship for they are one in the Godhead trinity. (1 John 5:7, Matthew 28:19, John 14:16,26)

DOCTRINES CONCERNING MAN

1. Repentance: We believe that repentance is a genuine sorrow for sin, can only be cleansed by Jesus Christ, and is acknowledgment that we need to come to a higher place through God. (2 Corinthians 7:10)

2. Salvation: We believe that except a person is born again, he cannot enter the Kingdom of Heaven. The new birth is a change of heart expressed in life, produced by the Spirit of God in renewing power, and consecrated by true relationship so that we have a new life in Christ Jesus. (John 3:5)

3. Water Baptism: We believe that water baptism is commanded of Christ for children of God and publicly demonstrates death to the old life and resurrection of our new life in Jesus Christ. (Matthew 28:19, Mark 16:16)

4. Baptism in the Holy Ghost: We believe in the Baptism in the Holy Ghost and the initial evidence of speaking in tongues. He is the one who sanctifies our lives so that we might be usable for the purpose of Christ. By progressive and continuous practice in our lives, the Holy Ghost leads us daily into His mighty will. (Acts 2:4, 10:44-46, 19:6)

5. Gifts of the Spirit: We believe that the Holy Ghost gives His gifts to each of us as He will. (1 Corinthians 12:8-10, 14:1)

6. Divine Healing: We believe that Divine Healing is the will of God for His children to demonstrate his love for us and to bring people to His saving grace. (Mark 16:18, Matthew 10, James 5:14-16)

7. Communion: We believe that children of God should take part in The Lord’s Supper to remember what Jesus did for us on the Cross of Calvary. It is also a time for the Body of Christ to fellowship and celebrate the resurrection and new life through Christ Jesus. (1 Corinthians 11:28-30)

8. Second Coming of Christ: We believe Jesus Christ is coming again to receive those that know Him and are called His children. We should seek to live and work in sight of His soon coming. (Matthew 24, John 14:3, Acts 1:11, 1 Thessalonians 4:14-19)

9. Heaven: We believe in Heaven, a literal place that Jesus has gone to prepare for his children. It is the dwelling place of God. (John 14:2)

10. Hell: We believe that all who reject salvation and relationship through Christ will be forever lost and be sentenced to a place of eternal burning known as hell. (John 3:36, Luke 12:5)

11. Judgment: We believe that you will only have one life on this earth and everyone will one day be brought to Judgment by God for their lives. (2 Timothy 4:1, Hebrews 9:27, Revelation 20:11-15)

12. Resurrection: We believe in the resurrection from the dead and that there will be a resurrection of both the just and the unjust. We believe that the children of God who have part in the first resurrection will be raised with glorified bodies, just as our blessed savior, Jesus was raised. (1 Corinthians 15:51-52, John 5:21-30, Daniel 12:2, Acts 24:15)

13. Adultery, Homosexuality & Marriage: Due to the lowering of standards and the permissiveness of society in general, we re-affirm our commitment to the scriptures opposition to extra marital sex and homosexuality. In addition, we also stand firm on the Biblical definition of marriage between one man and one woman. This holy unity and covenant is made with God and before witnesses as stated in the Word. (Matthew 5:27, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, Galatians 5:19-21, 1 Timothy 1:9-10, 1 Corinthians 7:2, Genesis 2:21-25, Hebrews 13:4)
